"Josh is an exciting player who possess exceptional pace and movement. He also has an excellent goal scoring record to date in his career with Swansea's academy system," said manager Andy Crosby.

"After speaking in length with him he knows what we're expecting from him as a Vale player and he is more than ready for the challenge.

"He has been in and around a great environment at Swansea and we are looking forward to him coming into the squad and continuing his development with us both on and off the pitch."
