Dublin: 'Colombia better against Poland'

Former Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin was full of praise for Colombia after their 3-0 win against Poland on Sunday evening.

Jose Pekerman's side edged Poland out of the World Cup after goals from Yerry Mina, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado put Colombia one point off qualification to the knockout stages.

Colombia have the best defensive record in Group H, and Dublin believes that they were solid at the back against Poland.

"Colombia so much more quality on show. They were just set out better. The way they play the game with confidence," Dublin told BBC Radio 5 live.

"The individuals shone for Colombia. When they needed to defend they got back and defended as a team. It has been a 12-man team tonight, the 11 on the pitch and the fans.

"Poland let me down and didn't play the way to get over the line."

Colombia will play Senegal in their final group game on Thursday.
