Osasuna will begin their 2026-27 La Liga campaign with a clash against Levante on Monday.
The hosts are preparing to open their league season, but Levante are already one match in, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Espanyol on August 16.
Match preview
Osasuna finished 17th in Spain's top flight last season, coming incredibly close to losing their La Liga status, so there is clear room for improvement during the current campaign.
Luis Miguel Ramis' side had a busy pre-season, taking to the field for six friendlies, winning their first three against Racing Santander, Ipswich Town and Norwich City, but they then lost to Napoli and Al-Ain before drawing with Arenas Getxo last time out.
Los Rojillos have made three signings this summer, boosting their squad with the arrivals of Jonathan Dubasin, Rockson Yeboah and Diego Rico.
Victor Munoz has been the team's biggest departure, joining Liverpool in a big-money deal, and there is expected be more movement in and out of the club before the market closes.
Osasuna have won 16 of their previous 34 matches against Levante, but it was 3-2 to the latter when the pair last locked horns in May 2026.
Levante have lost three of their last five games against Osasuna, including a 2-0 defeat in the corresponding match during the 2025-26 campaign.
The Frogs finished 16th in Spain's top flight last season, level on points with Osasuna, with both teams actually having identical records in the division - 11 wins, nine draws and 18 defeats.
Luis Castro's side opened their new La Liga campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Espanyol on August 16, so they will be looking to bounce back on Monday night.
Levante have been busy during this summer's transfer window, adding seven players to their squad, including Hugo Sotelo and Aissa Mandi; there is likely to be more business before the market closes.

Team News
Osasuna are expected to be without the services of Valentin Rosier due to a hamstring injury, but the home side are otherwise in strong shape for the contest.
There are expected to be debuts for Rico and Dubasin, while Raul Moro should be given the nod in the final third of the field.
Ante Budimir scored 17 goals in Spain's top flight last season, and the 35-year-old is set to feature as the centre-forward on Monday night.
Levante, meanwhile, will welcome Roger Brugue back into their squad following a suspension.
However, Alejandro Primo remains a doubt for the away side due to a shoulder issue.
Head coach Castro is expected to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack despite the disappointing nature of the performance and result against Espanyol.
Osasuna possible starting lineup:
