Osasuna disqualified from Copa del Rey after fielding ineligible player

Osasuna have been disqualified from the Copa del Rey after fielding an ineligible player in their 2-1 victory against Mirandes.

Unai Garcia played the full 90 minutes against fellow Segunda Division side despite being suspended after a sending-off against Alaves in the cup competition last season.

As a result, the Spanish Football Federation has disqualified Osasuna from this season's cup and handed a 3-0 victory to Mirandes.

The Navarre-based club have also been fined €6,001 (£4,408), but have three days to appeal the decision.
