League One roundup: Leyton Orient grab draw to remain top

Leyton Orient draw against Oldham Athletic to retain their position at the top of the League One table, while Wolves and Peterborough United both grab wins.

Leyton Orient remain at the top of the League One table after coming from behind to secure a 1-1 away draw against Oldham Athletic this afternoon.

Orient went a goal behind when Oldham's Charlie MacDonald crashed a shot into the top corner, having found space inside the box. However, the visiting side responded through a Shaun Batt equaliser in the second half.

The chasing pack kept on Orient's tail, though, with Wolverhampton Wanderers cruising to a 3-0 away victory over Colchester United, while Peterborough United beat Preston North End 2-0 to retain their third and second places respectively.

Two sides also grabbed last-gasp draws this afternoon, with both Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale coming back in the final minutes to score important goals.

Down at the foot of the table, Stevenage continued their poor run of form after losing 1-0 at home to Coventry City, leaving themselves in 23rd position.

Bottom-placed Tranmere Rovers also suffered at the hands of Swindon Town, who secured a 1-0 win thanks to a first-half penalty from Dany N'Guessan.

Results in full: Brentford 0-1 Rotherham, Colchester 0-3 Wolves, Gillingham 3-2 MK Dons, Notts County 4-0 Crewe Alexandra, Oldham 1-1 Leyton Orient, Peterborough 2-0 Preston North End, Port Vale 1-1 Bristol City, Shrewsbury 2-2 Carlisle, Stevenage 0-1 Coventry, Swindon 1-0 Tranmere, Walsall 0-2 Bradford
