Oldham Athletic have been hit by the news that defender Connor Brown will require knee surgery.
The 21-year-old, who is highly rated at the club, suffered the injury in their 3-1 win over Port Vale at the weekend.
It had been hoped that the full-back would return following the international break, but it has now been confirmed that surgery will be required.
Oldham currently sit 13th in the League One table.
