Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce looks at loan signing

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce hopes that he can make a loan signing before the window closes this week.

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has said that he hopes to make a loan signing this week.

The window for loan deals closes on Thursday, and Championship sides will then be unable to strengthen their squads until the transfer window opens again on January 1.

Forest picked up their second win in as many games on Saturday with their 3-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the result has not halted Pearce's desire to add to his squad.

"I made four phone calls with regard to players last week," Pearce told the Nottingham Post.

"I did not want four players, I wanted one. I will continue to make those calls if I believe it will improve our squad.

"Thursday is the cut-off date. It would have been nice to have one of those players come in, but we will move on, we will keep looking and move our sights on to other targets."

Forest travel to Birmingham City on Saturday.
