Freedman upbeat despite loss

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman remains upbeat after seeing his side suffer a late defeat to Ipswich Town.

Forest's winless run in the Championship was extended to seven games on Saturday as Freddie Sears's 83rd-minute strike made the difference at Portman Road.

Despite a slump in form over the past few weeks, Freedman insists that he is satisfied by the character of his squad.

"Over the last five games, the commitment and spirit has been there. We are just lacking a little at both ends of the pitch," the Scot told BBC Sport.

"I have got a good squad here and there was not a lot in that game. I definitely think it will click and the players have shown again that they are going to keep going and give their all for this football club."

Forest wrap up their Championship campaign next Sunday when they welcome Cardiff City to the City Ground.
