Dougie Freedman praises Nottingham Forest resilience in win over Rotherham United

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman reveals that he was pleased with the way his side fought back from a goal down to beat Rotherham United at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has praised his side's resilience after they came from behind to defeat Rotherham United 2-1 in their Championship clash at the City Ground.

The Millers went ahead through Danny Collins, but the home side drew level on the stroke of half time when Matthew Mills headed home.

In the second half, Forest found their rhythm and took the lead as Michail Antonio found the net and his goal was enough to earn the three points.

Freedman told BBC Sport: "After a good start we had a setback, but we stuck with the style of play that we want to adapt - and we kept on probing after we had gone behind.

"The outcome was the right result. Credit to Rotherham, because they started well. But I was pleased that we kept faith in our style, we played the way that we wanted.

"The crowd stuck with us, they understood what we were trying to do. And we stayed patient on the pitch. I am pleased that we had a good, professional performance."

Forest play Charlton Athletic at the City Ground on Tuesday.
