Cotterill to continue at Forest?

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has reportedly been told that he will be given the chance to impress the club's new owners.

The Al-Hasawi family from Kuwait are expected to complete their takeover of the East Midlands club this week.

Cotterill's future had been in doubt after it was said that Peterborough United were considering taking legal action against Gianni Paladini for allegedly making an illegal approach for Posh boss Darren Ferguson on behalf of the Reds' prospective owners.

However, Fawaz, Abdulaziz and Omar Al-Hasawi have assured Cotterill that he will be given substantial funds to rebuild his squad ahead of a promotion push next season, according to This is Nottingham.

Cotterill has taken charge of 37 games during his nine months at the City Ground, winning 12, losing 18 and drawing seven.
