West Ham United increase Grant Holt bid

West Ham United have reportedly increased their offer for Norwich City striker Grant Holt to £6.5m.

The 31-year-old scored 17 goals for the Canaries last season, but he handed in a transfer request at the end of the campaign.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton is keen to keep the Englishman, according to The Sun, but his resolve will surely be tested by the Hammers' offer.

It is understood that the deal will start at £3.5m, with various add-ons based on appearances.
