Norwich City close in on Kyle Lafferty?

Norwich City are reportedly on the verge of signing Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty.

Speculation in the Italian press has claimed that the 26-year-old, who has spent the last 12 months with Palermo, will have a medical in Norfolk over the next 24 hours.

Lafferty himself confirmed that his departure is close to completion when he said: "I like Palermo and it was nice to play here, but Palermo has decided to sell me and I respect their decision."

The centre-forward started his career with Burnley, before going on to have spells with Rangers and Swiss club Sion.
