Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has said that Atalanta BC winger James Troisi is one of a number of players he has looked at over the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old Australian, who worked under Hughton at Newcastle United, has recently been linked with a move to Carrow Road.
"I think the link is maybe there because of the Newcastle connection," Sky Sports News quotes Hughton as saying.
"What you tend to find is that in the process of doing the work we do behind the scenes to identify players there will always be lots of names that are thrown in and as soon as you ask questions about somebody that can find its way into the public.
"He is just one of numerous names that we have asked about. That is where we are on that one."
Juventus picked up Troisi on a free transfer last summer before selling half of his rights to Atalanta.
