"When the opportunity came up and I heard of the interest from Norwich, it was one that I couldn't turn down. I'm really excited about what's coming up and the new challenge ahead," he said.

"I've spoken to Stuart and have seen how well the club have started. I feel excited to be part of the club.

"I am whole-hearted and committed. I'm an experienced player now so I can add that to the group and have a really positive effect both on and off the pitch."

Canaries head coach David Wagner added: "We are very happy to bring Danny to the club to strengthen our defensive options.

"He is a player with experience and quality, and great character that will be valuable as we look to build upon the work we have started already this season.

"I know that he will give everything he has to help us achieve our goals this season and we look forward to welcoming him to the team."
