Ruddy surgery goes "very, very well"

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed that John Ruddy's thigh operation was a success.

The goalkeeper went under the knife late last week and is expected to spend the next three months on the sidelines.

"Yes, he has and the surgery has all gone very, very well – which they always do these days with the expertise," said Hughton.

"Now it's about recovery. Hopefully the time limit will be about three months and we are looking forward to him getting back with the squad."

Ruddy, 26, joined the Canaries from Everton in 2010.
