Norwich City striker Grant Holt has described his failure to be called up to the England squad as "ridiculous".
The 31-year-old, who scored 15 goals for the Canaries last season, has not been considered by Roy Hodgson since he took over as manager in May.
When asked about his hopes of being picked, Holt said: "I gave up on that.
"I think I'll never be in it. Roy's come in and picking his players.
"When two friendlies (against Norway and Belgium) came up and I wasn't included, it was ridiculous to be honest."
Holt has scored once in seven appearances for Norwich this season.
