Daniel Farke: 'Norwich City captain Ivo Pinto suffered injury getting out of car'

Norwich captain Pinto suffers freak injury

Norwich City captain Ivo Pinto has been sidelined after sustaining an injury while climbing out of his car.

The Portuguese right-back missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Brentford in the Championship with a "swollen" leg, Canaries boss Daniel Farke said.

Ahead of the fixture at Griffin Park, the German told reporters: "Ivo Pinto is unavailable. He injured himself getting out of his car and his knee is swollen.

"I will have to check his car as the games haven't injured him! We have several players who can play that position. For one game we will find a solution."

Harrison Reed was drafted in at right-back for Norwich in the weekend victory over the Bees.
