Jonny Evans misses Russia clash with stomach bug

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has missed tonight's game between Northern Ireland and Russia with a virus.

The 26-year-old fell ill overnight with a stomach bug and failed to recover in time for the fixture at Windsor Park.

Evans is now doubtful for United's Premier League opening-day match at Swansea City on Saturday.

He has been capped 31 times at senior international level, having made his debut in 2006.
