Exeter City have earned a valuable point in their bid to avoid relegation from League Two by drawing at Newport County this afternoon.
After a first half of few chances, Exeter took the lead soon after the interval when Harry Worley inadvertently headed Tom Nichols's cross into his own goal.
The visitors' advantage lasted only a couple of minutes, though, as County equalised through Lee Minshull, who scrambled home Robbie Wilmott's free kick.
Newport were the side who looked most dangerous in the final moments, but they couldn't complete the turnaround and had to settle for a point.
Exeter climb up a place to 21st and are now three points clear of Northampton in the drop zone. Newport are four points further ahead in 14th.
