Newport County boss Terry Butcher has appointed Russell Osman as his assistant manager.
The 56-year-old former Bristol City and Cardiff City boss had been out of work after leaving Ipswich Town's academy back in 2013.
Osman and Butcher played together at Ipswich and helped the club win the UEFA Cup in 1981.
Newport start their League Two campaign with a trip to Cambridge United on August 8.
