Newcastle United striker Sammy Ameobi has signed for local rivals Middlesbrough on a loan basis.
The 20-year-old has made 14 appearances for the Magpies in all competitions this season, but in recent weeks has found his opportunities limited following a number of new arrivals during the January transfer window.
As a result, he has been allowed to join the Championship club until the end of the current campaign.
He is now expected to go into the squad for Saturday's match against league leaders Cardiff City.
