Amido Balde plays down Premier League link

Amido Balde has insisted that he is unaware of speculation that has linked him with a summer transfer to the Premier League.

Both Newcastle United and Everton have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old, who currently plays for Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.

However, the striker has said that he will continue to lend his "focus" to performing well for Guimaraes.

"I am playing well and scoring goals to help the team. My main focus is on playing well for Vitoria and I do not have any knowledge about clubs who are interested in me," he told O Jogo.

Balde joined Vitoria from Sporting Lisbon in 2012.
