Davide Santon eager to continue good form

Newcastle United defender Davide Santon insists that his side must move on from their 1-0 victory over Manchester United last weekend.

Newcastle United defender Davide Santon has called on his side to focus on their upcoming fixture with Southampton on Saturday.

The Magpies recorded a memorable 1-0 victory over Manchester United last weekend to move into seventh position in the Premier League table, but Santon has insisted that his side must move on from their success at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old told the Sunderland Echo: "It's not easy to forget the amazing win at Old Trafford, but we don't have to stop now that we have beaten Manchester United.

"The next game is another important game. We have to make sure that we play like that again. We have to keep going to try to win the game."

Alan Pardew's side have won five of their last six league games.
