Yohan Cabaye is left out of the Newcastle United squad for Wednesday's Capital One Cup tie at Morecambe.

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has been left out of the squad for Wednesday's Capital One Cup tie at Morecambe.

The Frenchman has missed the Magpies' opening two games of the Premier League season after the club rejected a bid for him from Arsenal.

The 27-year-old will continue his absence from the side for their second-round match at the Globe Arena.

Cabaye joined Newcastle from Lille in summer 2011.
