Netherlands defender Bruno Martins Indi has been ruled out of the team's upcoming matches against Mexico and Latvia through illness.
PSV Eindhoven centre-back Jeffrey Bruma has been called up by manager Guus Hiddink as a replacement for the 22-year-old.
Bruma won the last of his seven senior caps over a year ago.
The Dutch host Mexico in a friendly on Wednesday before entertaining Latvia in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.
