Netherlands decide against racism complaint to UEFA

Netherlands won't lodge racism complaint

The Netherlands national team have reportedly decided against lodging an official complaint to UEFA regarding alleged racial abuse towards a number of their players.

It emerged last night that the Netherlands' black players were allegedly subjected to monkey chants during an open training session in Krakow yesterday, which alerted manager Bert van Marwijk to move the team to the other side of the pitch away from the fans.

Despite the incident, the Dutch squad have decided not to complain to the European governing body and to continue their preparations as normal, according to BBC Sport.

The Netherlands will take on Denmark in their opening Group B clash tomorrow.
