Report: Napoli interested in Leandro Damiao

It has been reported that Napoli are leading the race to sign Southampton target Leandro Damiao.

The Brazilian striker is said to be one of the names near the top of Mauricio Pochettino's wishlist, but Sky Sports News claims that the Serie A side could make a bid for the 23-year-old if they sell Edinson Cavani.

A representative for the Internacional player, Vinicius Prates, told Radio Gaucha: "There is a club that intends to sign the player. The interest exists."

Prates also denied that Damiao is valued at £18m.
