Napoli 'agree personal terms' with Swansea City target Jonathan de Guzman

Napoli appear to have beaten Swansea City to the signature of Jonathan de Guzman, with reports indicating that the Serie A side are on the verge of completing a deal for the Netherlands international.

De Guzman has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Villarreal, and there were suggestions that the 26-year-old could return to south Wales on a permanent basis.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rafael Benitez's side have agreed personal terms with the midfielder and are expected to wrap up a transfer in the region of €6m [£4.8m[.

De Guzman made 71 appearances for Swansea over the course of two seasons, scoring eight goals in the process.
