Dries Mertens passes Napoli medical

A statement from Italian outfit Napoli has confirmed that PSV Eindhoven winger Dries Mertens has passed his medical with the club.

The 26-year-old, who had been linked with a number of clubs, will join the Serie A side for a figure believed to be in the region of £8m.

The club statement read: "Dries Mertens has undergone his medical for Napoli this morning. The medical had a positive result."

It is believed that the Belgium international will sign a five-year deal with Napoli.
