Rafael Benitez plays down revenge in Inter Milan win

Rafael Benitez has said that revenge was never on the agenda after his Napoli side knocked former club Inter Milan out of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

Gonzalo Higuain struck an added-time winner as Benitez's side secured a 1-0 victory to move into the semi-finals of the competition.

The Spaniard was sacked by Inter following an ill-fated five-month stint at San Siro in 2010, but the 54-year-old says that chapter in his life is closed.

"Was I taking revenge? I've faced Inter many times now," he told RAI Sports.

"Everyone knows what happened there, but now we move on. I am in a club where we work well together and all have a good rapport."

Napoli face Lazio in the next round.
