Portsmouth recorded their first win of the season on Saturday as 10-man Morecambe were thoroughly outclassed at Fratton Park.
First-half goals from Jed Wallace, David Connolly and Patrick Agyemang saw Pompey cruise to victory, much to the delight of most of the 14,590 supporters in attendance.
Just four Morecambe fans had bought tickets in advance of the game and those individuals will have been regretting making the 600-mile round trip when the deadlock was broken on 20 minutes.
Wallace drilled home from the centre of the penalty area following a cute pass from Agyemang.
Phil Smith was the provider for the second, which came six minutes later. The goalkeeper's long kick forward found Connolly, who finished well from an acute angle.
Things got even worse for the Shrimpers just after the half-hour mark when Andrew Wright picked up his second yellow card and was sent down the tunnel.
Agyemang then completed the scoring on 39 minutes, linking up well with Connolly before finessing the ball beyond Andres Arestidou.
