Half-Time Report: Morecambe, Sheffield United goalless at half time

The League Cup match between Morecambe and Sheffield United remains goalless at half time.

Shaun Beeley had an early chance to get the hosts ahead but his shot towards the bottom right corner was met by United keeper Mark Howard.

The visitors grew into the game and dominated the first 30 minutes. Marc McNulty tested Barry Roche from long range before Martyn Woolford, Connor Sammon and Kieron Freeman all missed the target.

Paul Mullin had a rare chance for the Shrimpers on the half-hour mark, but Howard was equal to it once again.

Devitt was next to call Howard into action, but his tame shot was saved.
