MK Dons playing "waiting game" over Keith Andrews

MK Dons are having to be patient in their pursuit of Keith Andrews, according to manager Karl Robinson.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has conceded that he may have to wait to bring Keith Andrews back to the club.

The midfielder has been informed by Watford that he is surplus to requirements at Vicarage Road, where he is on loan from Bolton Wanderers.

The 34-year-old has been training on his own in Milton Keynes in recent days, but Robinson has revealed that the club is having to play a "waiting game" with regards to re-signing the Republic of Ireland international.

"Keith's in just training at the moment and utilising the facilities here. It's something he wants to do and we want to do, but his parent club have to make the right decision for their club," MK Web quotes Robinson as saying.

"All we're doing here is proving a place for him to train on his own as they don't want him to train at their club, so we have to just wait and see. It's a respectful waiting game at the moment."

Andrews spent two years with the Dons during the mid-2000s, when he helped the club to earn promotion to League One and win the Football League Trophy.
