MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has claimed that his side are not out of the race for promotion to the Championship despite losing to rivals Preston North End.
The Buckinghamshire club slipped to fourth in the table after goals from Callum Robinson and Joe Garner gave the Lilywhites victory at Stadium MK on Saturday.
However, Robinson remains optimistic that the Dons can break their current run of form.
He is quoted by Citiblog as saying: "It's not over if I have anything to do with it. People may say that and let's hope they believe that they can't continue on their current run and we can put one together.
"The players can't use any excuses from now on as they couldn't ask for better fixtures, and we have to hold onto that.
"These are difficult moments, and this is as low as it gets, yet now it's time to start clawing our way out of it. But if we'd won today, everyone would've forgotten we've been poor for a few weeks."
Robinson's men next face a trip to Walsall in League One next Saturday.
