MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has received a four-game touchline ban

Karl Robinson banned for four games

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has been given a four-game touchline ban for abusive language.

Robinson used the language towards Bradford City's French defender Christopher Routis after the Dons lost 2-1 in September, in which he referred to nationality.

Robinson has also been fined £3,000 and will have to attend a Football Association education programme. He said that he accepted the punishment, but denied referring to nationality.

"I accept the punishment and respect the commission's ruling. However, I maintain that I didn't make any reference to the player's nationality," Robinson said in a statement.

His team are currently third in League One.
