MK Dons frontman Will Grigg leads April League One Player of the Month shortlist

In-form MK Dons striker Will Grigg has been nominated for the last League One Player of the Month award this season.

The on-loan Brentford man is joined by Preston North End forward Jermaine Beckford, Ben Gladwin of Swindon Town and Walsall's James O'Connor on the shortlist.

Grigg has become indispensable in the Dons' frontline, this month scoring six goals in seven games for the automatic promotion candidates.

Beckford has formed an impressive partnership with the league's top goalscorer Joe Garner and netted five times in April.

Robins midfielder Gladwin scored six of his side's nine goals this month, including a first career hat-trick in the 4-2 victory over Rochdale.

O'Connor helped Walsall to an unbeaten month and an impressive five clean sheets in seven games which saw them climb away from danger.

The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.
