Ian Holloway delighted by Millwall appointment

Ian Holloway reveals that he is "delighted" to be back in football at Millwall.

Ian Holloway has revealed that he is "delighted" to be the new manager of Millwall.

The former Crystal Palace boss joined the Championship strugglers on Monday following Steve Lomas's departure last month.

Despite the Lions being just one point above the relegation zone, Holloway is confident that he can turn the team's fortunes around.

"I'm delighted to be here," he told the club's official website. "Everything [the board] want for the club completely mirrored how I feel. I've never felt so wanted in my whole life.

"Hopefully we can stop losing; that's the first thing. I'll try and galvanise them into a way of playing - a Millwall way of hard work and effort.

"It's a new group with lots of changes, but a fresh voice in me might help them a little bit. I want them to enjoy their football and start getting some results under their belts."

Holloway takes charge of Millwall for the first time on Saturday when they make the trip to Huddersfield Town.
