Report: Middlesbrough want keeper Rafael

Championship favourites Middlesbrough are interested in signing Hellas Verona goalkeeper Rafael, reports in Italy suggest.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Boro have offered the Brazilian keeper a three-year contract as they look to gain promotion to the Premier League.

However, it has been suggested that Rafael, who has made over 300 appearances for the Serie A side since joining in 2007, is not keen on a move to the Riverside Stadium.

Boro currently have Dimitrios Konstantopoulos and Tomas Mejias available as goalkeeping options.
