Middlesbrough bring in Chelsea youngster Kenneth Omeruo on loan

Middlesbrough have signed Chelsea youngster Kenneth Omeruo on loan until the end of the season.

Omeruo, who is a defender, is a Nigerian international and has already earned 14 caps for his country at just 20 years of age.

He is yet to make his debut for Chelsea after signing for the Blues from Standard Liege two years ago.

Omeruo was immediately sent out on an 18-month loan to ADO Den Haag, where he scored two goals in 36 appearances for the Dutch side.

Middlesbrough, who are 15th in the Championship, next travel to Blackpool on Saturday.
