Halliday signs Middlesbrough extension

Andy Halliday has signed a contract extension with Middlesbrough until summer 2015.

The 21-year-old defender's previous deal at the Riverside Stadium was due to expire at the end of the season.

"Andy Halliday has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club for another couple of years," read a statement on the club's official website.

"After discussions with Tony Mowbray, he has signed an extension until the end of June 2015."

Halliday joined Boro from Scottish side Livingston in summer 2010.
