Boro's Ripley makes Swedish loan move

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley has joined Swedish second-tier outfit Ostersunds FK on loan until May.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Bradford City in League One, but made just one appearance during the 5-0 loss to Hartlepool United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

He now moves to Sweden in search of first-team football because of Jason Steele's return and the recent addition of Tomas Mejias.

Ripley hasn't made an appearance for Middlesbrough since the 2011-12 season.
