Middlesbrough were held at home by a spirited Derby County side in an action-packed Championship encounter this evening.

Nigel Clough's Rams made the breakthrough on 16 minutes thanks a new-look strikeforce.

Boro defender Andre Bikey brought down Craig Bryson in the area to gift Derby a penalty kick.

Theo Robinson, chosen to replace top scorer Jamie Ward, made no mistake from the spot to give his side the lead.

Derby were not be denied in the closing stages and found a late equaliser through Paul Coutts, who smashed home to profit from some poor Boro defending.

The Rams nearly had all three points when Robinson missed a late chance from close range, leaving both sides to share the points.
