Report: Middlesbrough consider Terry Butcher move

A report claims that Middlesbrough are keen to talk to Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss Terry Butcher about their managerial vacancy.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Terry Butcher has been named as a potential candidate for the vacant post at Middlesbrough.

Caretaker boss Mark Venus has been in charge of first-team duties since Tony Mowbray was sacked last month.

According to The Mirror, the former England captain is one of their targets, but they face competition from Caley's Scottish Premier League rivals Hibernian, who parted ways with Pat Fenlon on Friday.

The 54-year-old took over at Caledonian Stadium in 2009.
