Tomas Mejias Osorio has insisted that joining Middlesbrough on loan was the right choice to make in order to fulfil his "high hopes".
The Real Madrid goalkeeper, who has linked up with Aitor Karanka at Boro, is in direct competition with Shay Given and Jason Steele for a starting place.
"I am very happy," the 25-year-old told Spanish publication AS. "I have high hopes and wanted to start with this project. I have come to a big club and is a good choice sporting wise for me. I just think of Middlesbrough. I want to grow, play and adapt to this new challenge."
Osorio could make his debut at Vicarage Road against Watford tomorrow.
