Kei Kamara's hernia has been successfully operated on and he should be fit again before the end of the season, his club Middlesbrough have said.
The Sierra Leonean forward underwent surgery in Germany last week and could now feature again for Boro in the final four games of the season.
"The operation went well and we would expect Kei to be back training soon," a spokesman told the club website.
Kamara, 29, has made 25 appearances for Boro in the Championship this season and scored four goals.
