Loic Remy will miss Marseille's trip to Reims on the opening wekkend of the new Ligue 1 season.

Loic Remy has suffered a setback in his return from a thigh injury that has ruled him out of Marseille's Ligue 1 opener against Reims on Sunday.

It is the same problem that denied the 25-year-old a place in Laurent Blanc's 23-man squad for Euro 2012.

Remy now faces a race against time to be fit for Les Phoceens' trip to Ligue 1 champions Montpellier on Sunday, August 26.

The France international scored 17 league goals in all competitions last season.
