Andre-Pierre Gignac suffers injury blow

Marseille have been dealt an injury blow as their top scorer Andre-Pierre Gignac was forced off the training field following a heavy challenge by Pape M'Bow.

The France international was said to have reacted angrily towards his Senegalese teammate before leaving for treatment on his injured ankle.

Gignac has scored three goals to help Les Phoceens climb to the top of Ligue 1 with six wins out of six.

It is not yet clear how long the 26-year-old will be out of action.
