Louis van Gaal wants Thomas Muller to join him at Manchester United?

Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to sign Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller when he is appointed as Manchester United manager.

Louis van Gaal could reportedly swoop for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller once he is installed as Manchester United manager.

Widespread reports have claimed that the current Netherlands boss will be confirmed as David Moyes's permanent successor next week ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.

According to the Daily Mail, Van Gaal's number one transfer target is the German international, who is said to be unhappy with his playing position under Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena.

Muller, who was promoted from the youth ranks under Van Gaal during his time at Bayern, is under contract at the Bundesliga club until 2017.
