Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'wants Harry Maguire deal as soon as possible'

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly desperate for his club to complete a deal for Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire as soon as possible.

United continue to be strongly linked with a swoop for the England international, who is believed to be valued at £80m by the Foxes in this summer's transfer window.

According to Sky Sports News, Solskjaer has urged the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to complete a deal for the 26-year-old sooner rather than later.

Woodward reportedly decided against meeting up with the United squad in Shanghai earlier this week in order to complete transfer business in the UK.

Maguire only signed a new long-term contract at the King Power Stadium last September, meaning that Leicester are in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations.

The Red Devils made it four straight pre-season wins on Thursday as goals from Anthony Martial and Angel Gomes saw the team record a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
