Sheffield Wednesday want Marnick Vermijl?

Manchester United defender Marnick Vermijl has reportedly been made a loan target of Sheffield Wednesday.

The 22-year-old is thought to have been told by United boss Louis van Gaal that he is free to find himself another club, either on a permanent or temporary basis.

That has alerted Wednesday manager Stuart Gray, who is hoping to conclude a season-long loan deal for the full-back over the coming days, according to The People.

The former Belgium youth international joined the Red Devils from Standard Liege, as a trainee in 2010.
